Google is rolling out Android 17 QPR2 Beta 4 for supported Pixel devices, bringing new testing builds directly to users just two weeks after the release of Beta 3. According to reporting by Joe Maring at Android Authority, the fresh software arrives right on schedule with builds designated as CP41.260814.003.A2 or CP41.260814.003.B1 depending on specific hardware configurations.

Device Eligibility and Missing Software Support

As with previous QPR2 releases, the older Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are excluded from the Beta 4 update because those phones will sit outside Google’s software support window by the time the stable Feature Drop officially launches. Even though the Pixel 11 reached retail availability during the previous week, Google has not yet extended QPR2 builds to that newest hardware tier. Android Authority notes that the most recent hardware included in the Beta 4 support list remains the Pixel 10 series.

Release Timeline and Feature Expectations

With the month of August coming to a close, Google’s September Feature Drop appears nearly ready for deployment, having been tested previously under the Android 17 QPR1 label which reached its Beta 9 milestone earlier in the month. Meanwhile, Android Authority reports that QPR2 represents a separate development track focused on a major year-end update. Google has not yet published an official changelog detailing specific fixes or additions included in the Beta 4 package. Testers exploring the new builds are currently investigating the software independently to spot changes. Users interested in evaluating the pre-release software can register their eligible hardware through the official Android Beta Program.
