Google has launched a Japan-exclusive variant of the Pixel 10a, featuring a deep navy colorway known as Isai Blue. The release marks the official arrival of the Pixel 10a in the Japanese market, following its launch in other global regions approximately one month prior.

The new model is designed as a limited-edition offering to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Google Pixel brand and to acknowledge the company’s user base in Japan. To create the device, Google collaborated with Heralbony, a creative company that partners with artists with disabilities to develop new cultural works.

Design and Artistic Collaboration

The Isai Blue color provides a dark blue aesthetic that contrasts with the standard pastel palette of the Pixel 10a, which includes Berry, Lavender, Obsidian, and Fog. This specific hue is described as a rare fifth entry for the device’s color options.

The collaboration with Heralbony extends beyond the chassis of the phone. The retail packaging features the work of Heralbony artist Midori Kudo. The device includes a unique wallpaper created by a Heralbony-contracted artist and an original theme pack designed to unify the system’s icon colors to match the Isai Blue exterior.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Google Pixel and to express our deep gratitude to our loyal Pixel users in Japan, we have collaborated with the creative company Heralbony to develop a Japan-exclusive model.

The Japan-exclusive model also includes a physical bundle consisting of original stickers and an exclusive bumper case designed to highlight the flat back of the device.

Technical Specifications and Availability

Internally, the Isai Blue Pixel 10a maintains the same hardware specifications as the standard Pixel 10a. The device is powered by Google’s Tensor G4 chip and features a 48-megapixel main camera. It includes an IP68 dustproof and waterproof rating and supports satellite SOS functionality.

Technical Specifications and Availability

The phone is equipped with a 5,100mAh battery and is supported by Google’s commitment to provide seven years of OS and security updates. However, Google has limited the Isai Blue variant to a single storage configuration. it is only available with 256GB of storage.

The Isai Blue Pixel 10a is available for pre-order in Japan at a price of ¥94,900, which is approximately $594. Shipments for the device are scheduled to begin on May 20, 2026.

Market Context in Japan

Japan has emerged as one of the strongest markets for the Pixel brand globally. The A-series, in particular, has driven this growth, with the Pixel 7a previously achieving significant success in the region.

By introducing a region-specific color and collaborating with a local creative studio, Google is utilizing a targeted strategy to maintain momentum in a market where the A-series has already established a strong foothold.
