MOUNTAIN VIEW, calif. (AP) ⁢— Google⁣ is ​phasing out the sale of its ⁢Nest thermostats in Europe and will discontinue support for some ‍older models, impacting users reliant on the ⁣devices’ smart⁤ features. The company plans to integrate remaining Nest app functionalities into⁢ the Google Home app.

End of ⁢Support for Legacy Nest Thermostats

Google announced that ⁢support ⁣for first⁣ and⁣ second-generation Nest ⁤Learning Thermostats, released in 2011 and 2012⁢ respectively, will cease on Oct. 25, 2025.⁣ The second-generation European version ⁢(2014)⁤ is also affected.
