Governorate of Menofia: Proposal to establish a 20 km ring road for the town of Shebin El-Kom – Governorates
The governor of Menofia, Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, announced a plan to build a 20-kilometer ring road around Shebin el-Kom. This project aims to improve infrastructure in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and development goals.
The new road will support heavy transport and cargo movement in Menofia Governorate. The road will connect key routes, enhancing traffic flow in the region.
Proposed Features of the Ring Road:
- Length and Width: The ring road will be 20 kilometers long and 30 meters wide.
- Route Connections:
- It will link Shebin L-com and Quesna, and extend to Tamle Road.
- It will connect Shebin Al-Qoum to Tanta Road.
- It will also link Shebin El-Com to Tamalai Road.
- Infrastructure Developments: The project will include the construction of bridges and tunnels, along with compensation for land expropriation.
This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to improving transportation and supporting economic growth in the region.
