Upcoming Launch of Red and White Village Cooperatives
A important point of discussion was the forthcoming launch of Red and White Village Cooperatives (Red and White Kopdes), a nationwide initiative spearheaded by President Prabowo Subianto. Coordinating Minister for Food, Zulkifli Hasan, has indicated that the official launch is scheduled for July 21, 2025. The launch event is also set to feature 103 pilot cooperatives, showcasing successful models and best practices. To date,a substantial 81,000 Red and White Village Cooperatives have been established across the archipelago,with approximately 77,000 having secured formal legal recognition,demonstrating significant progress in grassroots economic empowerment.
