Grace Piper Advances at NCAA Women’s Tennis Championships

Grace Piper, a senior from the USC women’s tennis team, won her first-round singles match at the NCAA championships. She defeated Lucie Petruzelova from Ole Miss in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. Piper will compete in the round of 32 against No. 16 Julia Garcia Ruiz from Oklahoma State on Wednesday at 9 a.m. CT.

Sophomore Lily Fairclough will also participate on Wednesday. She and Piper will team up for the doubles championship. They will face Liubov Kostenko and Cristina Tiglea from Baylor in the round of 32.
