Gracie Abrams’ Third Album Coming In July

Singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams has announced the release of her third studio album, titled Daughter From Hell, which is scheduled to arrive on July 17 through Interscope.

The upcoming project consists of 16 tracks and marks a continued partnership between Abrams and songwriter and producer Aaron Dessner of the National. The duo previously collaborated on Abrams’ 2023 debut, Good Riddance, and her 2024 follow-up, The Secret of Us.

The album’s introduction will begin with the lead single, Hit the Wall, which is set to be released on May 14, 2026.

Collaborations and Creative Process

The reunion with Aaron Dessner for Daughter From Hell comes as Dessner continues a period of significant professional success, including his work on Noah Kahan’s album The Great Divide.

Abrams has already begun sharing her excitement regarding the new music with her audience. In a post on Instagram, she expressed her anticipation for the release, stating:

Whoa whoa whoa. Freaking out. I am so ready for it to be yours.

The artist also discussed the lead single during an appearance at the Met Gala. While speaking on the red carpet, Abrams described Hit the Wall as the introduction to this new chapter and noted that she felt grateful and relieved that this specific track would serve as the album’s opening statement.

Reports indicate that the music video for Hit the Wall was filmed in Surrey, England, at a location described as an abandoned Catholic seminary.

Commercial Success and Recent Work

The announcement of Daughter From Hell follows a period of substantial commercial growth for Abrams. Her previous album, The Secret of Us, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

That project produced the hit single I Love You, I’m Sorry, which has surpassed one billion plays on Spotify. Further success was found in the deluxe edition of the album, which featured the single That’s So True; that track is currently approaching 1.8 billion worldwide streams on the Spotify platform.

Beyond her full-length albums, Abrams recently expanded her collaborative reach. In late December 2025, she teamed with Aaron Dessner and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver to release a single titled Sold Out.

The track was originally written in response to a school shooting that occurred in 2024. However, the artists decided to release the song in December 2025 following a series of recent tragic gun-related incidents.

Expansion into Film

In addition to her music career, Abrams is preparing for her debut as an actress. She has been cast in an upcoming film titled Please, written and directed by Halina Reijn.

The film will be released by the studio A24. The production recently expanded its cast to include Tom Burke, known for his role in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

The release of Daughter From Hell on July 17 will see Abrams, the daughter of filmmaker J.J. Abrams, returning to the spotlight during one of the most anticipated windows for summer music releases.
