GRAND-CASE, St. Martin — The Grand-Case airport recently hosted an awards ceremony for its inaugural photography contest, “Biodiversity in the Heart of the Airport.” The contest, an initiative led by Sabrina Charville, director of Quality and Enduring Advancement, aimed to highlight the ecological commitment of the airport and the artistic talents of its employees.
Employees Capture Natural Beauty
Twenty-one employees of Edeis, the airport’s operator, participated in the contest, capturing the natural environment surrounding the airport. “Thank you for sharing your unique perspective on the biodiversity that surrounds us,” said Charville. She noted the contest supports the airport’s pursuit of the aerobiodiversity label.

Mickencia Lavaud, responsible for commercial and private aviation, won the grand prize. Lavaud described venturing near a small lake with a partner, stating, “I knew it was the right place. luckily, that day, time accompanied us.”
