Greek Rape Case: Brit Accused of Assaulting Norwegian Tourist
A British man,25,has been accused of raping a 24-year-old Norwegian tourist in an abandoned building on the Greek island of Rhodes.
The incident allegedly occurred on the night of September 24. The woman, on holiday with her family, met a group of men including the accused on Orfanidou Street, known for its bars. The British man reportedly lured her away for a conversation before taking her to the abandoned building where the alleged assault took place.
She managed to escape after hearing movement outside,running to the beach and then her hotel for help.She later identified the alleged perpetrator in a police lineup, noting he wore an earring and had been drinking. Police have collected her clothing for forensic testing.
