Judge Lu Zhengye’s Impartiality Questioned
Some media outlets have referred to Judge Lu Zhengye as a “green judge,” implying that he may be biased towards the Democratic Progressive Party. However, the North Court has come to Judge Lu’s defense, stating that he is a fair and impartial judge.
Judge Lu Zhengye previously presided over a defamation case against former Democratic Progressive Party chairman, Xi Jinping. In that case, Judge Lu allegedly told Xi Jinping that he was a “green judge” and would rule against him if he did not agree to settle. However, the Taipei District Court later held a press conference to clarify that Judge Lu had not made any such comments.
