Kossi: Provincial Coordination of Citizen Monitoring Associations Plants 20 Trees
Nouna, September 9, 2024 – In a bid to contribute to the national reforestation campaign, the provincial coordination of citizen monitoring associations planted 20 trees in the courtyard of the Nouna town hall.
The tree-planting ceremony, which took place on Monday, September 9, 2024, was attended by the general secretary of Nouna town hall, Harouna Zerbo, and supervised by Assimou Toé. The 20 trees planted include mango trees, baobabs, moringa, and cashew trees.
According to Adama Dao, the coordinator of the provincial coordination of <a href="https://www.newsdirectory3.com/in-real-time-the-transition-support-meeting-led-by-captain-ibrahim-traore/” title=”In real time, the Transition Support Meeting led by Captain Ibrahim Traoré”>citizen monitoring associations, the aim of the tree-planting exercise is to support the reforestation campaign initiated by the country’s highest authorities.
The environment department provided support for the reforestation activity, which is part of a broader effort to promote environmental conservation and sustainability in Burkina Faso.
