PORTLAND, Ore. ⁣- Jesus Ascenio-Molina,31,of Gresham,received a prison sentence ⁢of more than⁢ six years Friday for stabbing an⁣ 86-year-old man during a robbery attempt in December. Ascenio-Molina pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery and second-degree assault.

The Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office reported that on Dec. 27, 2024, Ascenio-Molina approached the victim at a Fred Meyer on 82nd Avenue⁢ as he was loading groceries into his 2011 Porsche Panamera. According to officials, Ascenio-Molina, admiring the car, asked the man‍ twice for his keys.When the man refused, Ascenio-Molina stabbed him twice in⁣ the back and‍ once in the ribcage.

Ascenio-Molina fled to a nearby apartment complex but was apprehended two hours⁣ later. The victim, whose⁢ name was not released, expressed satisfaction at the sentencing, stating, “I’m happy seeing this guy off⁢ the street.”
