After a prolonged period of relative⁣ inactivity,⁣ indie rock favorites ⁤ grizzly bear are back with news of a North American tour. The band, comprised of Ed Droste, Daniel Rossen, Chris Taylor, and Chris‍ Bear, will embark on their first headlining tour in six years, marking a new chapter for the group.

The band clarified in a press release that this isn’t a reunion, as they never officially disbanded. instead, these ⁢shows represent both a return and a fresh start, with their future direction yet to be ⁤determined. The Grizzly Bear tour ⁣spans seven dates, commencing Oct. 13 with a three-night stint at Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, N.Y.⁣ The tour will then hit Chicago,⁤ Los Angeles and⁣ San Francisco, before concluding Nov. 19 at the Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif.

Sence the release of their 2017 album, “Painted Ruins,” each member has pursued individual projects. Droste became a therapist and collaborated with artists such as Haerts⁤ and morrissey. Rossen released a solo album, “You Belong There,” and partnered with‍ Bear on the soundtrack for the film “Past Lives.” Bear also contributed to Fleet Foxes’ “Shore” and released music as Fools.Taylor produced records for Beth Orton, Clark, and others.
