Liamoo to Represent Sweden at Eurovision 2024

The Swedish broadcaster, Sveriges Television (SVT),has announced that Liamoo (Liam Wahlsteen) will represent Sweden in the 2024 Eurovision Song contest in Malmö,Sweden.
Liamoo previously participated in Melodifestivalen in 2019, 2021, and 2022, achieving a third-place finish in 2022 with the song “Honestly”. He was directly selected by SVT’s internal selection committee, rather than through Melodifestivalen this year.

Melodifestivalen and the Song Reveal
While Liamoo has been chosen as the artist, the song he will perform at Eurovision 2024 has not yet been released. The song reveal is expected to occur later in winter 2024.
Detail: Sweden traditionally selects it’s Eurovision entry through the annual Melodifestivalen competition, but this year SVT opted for a direct selection of the artist. The song will be unveiled separately.
Evidence: According to ESCGO, SVT stated that the song will be released at a later date, allowing Liamoo time to finalize it and ensure it meets the standards for the competition.
Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö
The 2024 Eurovision Song Contest will be held in malmö, Sweden, from May 7-11, 2024.
Detail: Sweden is hosting the contest for the seventh time, having previously hosted in 1975, 1985, 1992, 2000, 2013, and 2023.Malmö previously hosted in 1992 and 2013. The decision to host in Malmö was announced on January 16, 2024.
