GTA 6 Release Date Faces Further Uncertainty
Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated Grand Theft auto 6 may face another delay, according to recent reports. Initially scheduled for release on May 26, 2026, the game was already pushed back to November 19, 2026, to allow for further growth and quality assurance. Now, concerns are resurfacing about the possibility of a third postponement.
Jason Schreier, a journalist at Bloomberg known for accurate industry reporting, discussed the situation on the Button Mash podcast. Schreier stated that the game is still not fully finalized as of January 8, 2026.
According to Schreier, development teams are still actively adding missions, finalizing levels, and determining which elements will make the final cut. He indicated that it is indeed currently tough to confidently predict whether the November 19th release date will be met.
The original delay of six months was intended to ensure the game met Rockstar’s quality standards. Further updates will be reported as they become available.
