Chicago-based private equity firm GTCR is betting big on maritime technology. The ⁢firm announced the ​creation of Maris Investments, a new platform designed to acquire and scale⁢ companies in the maritime ⁣technology sector. Leading the charge as CEO‍ will be Manish Singh,‍ formerly the⁣ CEO ‍of Ocean Technologies⁤ group.

Singh, a veteran with over 30 years in the maritime industry, took the helm at Ocean Technologies Group in 2019. He ‍transformed ⁤it into a leading maritime software platform serving ship owners​ and managers globally. Now, at ​Maris Investments, Singh will spearhead acquisitions of maritime technology companies. the goal: to improve‍ workflows and accelerate the industry’s digital conversion.

Mark ‍Anderson, managing director at ​GTCR, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. “We are excited to partner with Manish,” Anderson said,citing Singh’s⁤ “proven⁣ track record,deep domain expertise and industry ‍relationships.”
