Attendees can purchase tickets online through the city’s cultural website or directly at the Teatro Liceo box office. salamanca24horas.com noted that the event is promoted by the Subdelegación de Defensa en Salamanca and forms part of the programming organized by the Fundación Salamanca Ciudad de Cultura y Saberes.

A Season of Classical Music and Cultural Programming

Planomato.com reported that the concert is part of a broad classical music block scheduled within the municipality’s autumn cultural agenda, which runs from September through December and encompasses roughly thirty-two concerts, twenty theater works, and various offerings in dance, film, humor, circus, literature, and exhibitions featuring national and international names alongside local talent. The same outlet noted that the autumn lineup follows a summer season in which the Salamanca Culta y Oculta program recorded 24,969 participants, representing an 87.24% increase compared to the figures from 2025.

History and Leadership of the Military Ensemble

The Unidad de Música traces its origins back to November 19, 1859, when a company of young guards attended a military parade in Madrid with its band, initially residing at the Colegio de Guardias Jóvenes de Valdemoro for seventy-six years. Following the merger of two distinct corps musical units between 2004 and 2006, the ensemble assumed its current configuration and later expanded its roster in 2020. Originally from Llíria, Valencia, he trained at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia—where he studied composition, orchestral conducting, and clarinet—and furthered his studies at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena. As a composer he has earned numerous awards, while his career as a conductor includes taking first prize at the Certamen de Bandas de Música de la Región de Murcia in 2011 and winning two silver medals at the Global Music Awards in Los Angeles in the ‘Best Album’ and ‘Classical Music’ categories, alongside serving as a professor at the Escuela de Músicas Militares and a frequent member of juries for composition contests and band competitions.
