Guarding the Truth: Safeguarding the Integrity of Goods, Newspapers, and Beyond
Fighting Corruption and Consolidating Integrity in the Kingdom
The reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Highness the Faithful Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has been a golden age of achieving integrity and fighting corruption.
Financial and administrative corruption is a serious issue that affects the stability and prosperity of a nation. It is an incurable disease that feeds on the state’s resources, leading to poverty, instability, and the downfall of civilizations. As Ibn Khaldun once said, “The spread of corruption pushes the common people into the abyss of poverty and inability to provide the necessities of life, which is the beginning of a crack that leads to the downfall of civilizations and nations.”
Fighting corruption and consolidating the values of integrity were among the pillars and main goals of Vision 2030. The Kingdom has made significant progress in restoring the psychological and economic health of its society, ensuring that citizens, residents, and investors feel justice, fairness, and security. Anyone who violates or enriches themselves from public money or the money of others will be held accountable and dealt with by the justice system.
The Kingdom has also taken steps to ensure transparency and accountability in the public sector, making it a platform for transparency, disclosure, and better governance. The private sector has also been reformed, with the establishment of company regulations, commercial and investment registration, supervisory and anti-corruption authority systems, and commercial courts. These reforms have made the investment environment attractive and encouraging for capital.
The non-profit sector has also been protected and maintained, with the establishment of the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development. This center has worked to ensure the integrity of the non-profit sector, preventing the infiltration of extremist groups and ensuring that the sector is used for the benefit of humanity.
The efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, have been instrumental in protecting and sustaining the integrity of the three mosques, ensuring their stability and continuity of services. When the three sectors – nation, citizen, resident, and investor – recover, the elements of state model governance are aligned, and the goals of sustainability and progress in the service of humanity are achieved and integrated.
