Kuwait City – Representatives from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) convened Monday to address pressing issues of agriculture and food security. the meeting, organized by the General Authority for Agriculture and Fisheries affairs, focused on administrative, financial, and strategic approaches to bolster food security across the Gulf region.
Salem Al-Hay, general manager of the authority, emphasized the urgency of the discussions, citing increasing global challenges to food and water security. He said the meeting aimed to forge a unified path toward protecting the future of Gulf nations.
Al-Hay stressed the importance of strengthening the Gulf food security system and achieving sustainable self-sufficiency through strategic visions and implementable projects.
