Gunma University Student Takes Center Stage: Hayato Aoyama Shines at Prestigious Microelectronics Symposium 2024
Hayato Aoyama Participates in Young Researchers and Women’s Empowerment Session at Microelectronics Symposium 2024

Hayato Aoyama, a second-year master’s student in the Intelligent Machine Creation Science and Engineering Education Program at the Graduate School of Science and Technology, was invited to participate in the Young Researchers and Women’s Empowerment Session at the Microelectronics Symposium 2024 (MES2024). The event took place at Daido University from September 11th to 13th, 2024.
Aoyama gave a presentation about his goals, aspirations, and thoughts on society from the perspective of a person with hearing impairment, focusing on the realization of an inclusive society that values diversity. He then participated in a panel discussion with other young and female researchers.
The session featured lectures by prominent figures in the industry, including Masu Kazuya, President of Tokyo Institute of Technology, and Ogishi Yuko, General Manager of Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation. The panel discussion, moderated by Sunaga Junko, Director of Information Society Design Association, covered various topics such as the ideal society, the gap between the current situation and the desired state, and the skills necessary to maintain competitiveness in the electronics industry.
