Expanding the scope of certification to three business locations outside of the county office

[군위=뉴시스] Reporter Kim Jin-ho = Gunwi-gun, Daegu City announced on the 31st that it received a ‘suitable’ rating in the post-certification audit of the Anti-Corruption Management System (ISO 37001), and thus maintained its certification qualification.

Anti-Corruption Management System Certification is an international standard certification system established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to prevent, improve, and manage corruption that may occur within an organization.

After initial certification, certification can be maintained only after a rigorous post-certification review is conducted annually to ensure compliance.

If there is one or more nonconformities, certification may be suspended or cancelled.

Gunwi-gun was the first local government in Daegu and Gyeongbuk to obtain the Anti-Corruption Management System certification in September of last year, and this year, it expanded the scope of certification to include public health centers, agricultural technology centers, and facility management offices, and obtained post-management certification.

The judging took place over two days, from the 26th to the 27th.

The Korea Standards Association (KSA) confirmed that Gunwi-gun has implemented procedures such as establishing and promoting a corruption risk assessment and improvement plan for the possibility of corruption occurring within the organization, and conducting an internal review and management review of the results.

Earlier this year, Gunwi-gun established the ‘2024 Comprehensive Anti-Corruption and Integrity Enhancement Plan’.
