Good ⁤news for fans of the comedy series “Hacks”: Max has announced that the show will return for a⁣ fifth season. ⁤The renewal⁣ comes ahead of the fourth season’s finale, ⁤scheduled to air Thursday.

Starring ‍jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder, “Hacks” has ⁣garnered critical acclaim, including ‍an Emmy win for Outstanding Comedy Series for its third season. The show was created by Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello, and Jen Statsky and also features Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Mark Indelicato, and ⁤Rose Abdoo.

Downs recalled, “So⁣ we wrote a commercial⁢ for Cherlato. Deborah was gonna go to⁢ the Cherlato​ factory,⁤ she was gonna ‍taste all the Cherlato, she was gonna love ⁤the Cherlato, and then when it came ‍down to shoot, we got a pass.”
