Updated May 30, 2025
Haim has unveiled “Take Me Back,” the newest single from their highly anticipated album, I Quit. The song, a blend of nostalgia and contemporary sound, is now available.
Danielle Haim and Rostam Batmanglij teamed up to co-produce ”Take Me Back.” The Haim sisters collaborated with Tobias Jesso Jr., known for his work on “Hallelujah” and ”Relationships,” to write the song. Henry Solomon adds a saxophone element to the track.
The band described the inspiration behind the song. “For the first time since high school, the three of us all found ourselves single,” Haim said in a press statement. “We were going out a lot; just the three of us spending quality time together. So much so that we would reminisce about living at home and all the crazy stories that happened during our teenage years.”
“Take Me Back” is the fourth single preceding I Quit, following “Relationships,” “Everybody’s Trying to Figure Me Out,” and “Down to Be Wrong.” The album, a follow-up to 2020’s Women in Music Pt. III, is scheduled for release June 20 via Columbia Records. Haim plans a North american and United Kingdom tour to support the new album.
What’s next
Fans can anticipate the full release of I quit and the upcoming tour dates. The album promises to deliver more of Haim’s signature sound, blending personal experiences with musical innovation.
