John Haliburton is set to watch his son, Tyrese Haliburton, and the Indiana Pacers as they take on the New York Knicks in game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The game is scheduled for Tuesday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Haliburton’s attendance marks a reversal from a previous ban. The Pacers front office had barred him from games, both home and away, following an on-court incident with Giannis Antetokounmpo in late April. The Pacers have played eight playoff games since the ban was put in place.

john Haliburton reportedly accepted the initial decision, according to ESPN. He has spent recent games at a local Indianapolis bar, celebrating his son’s performance, including a game-tying shot against the Knicks in Game 1.
The Pacers confirmed the decision to lift the ban on Monday. Tyrese Haliburton was not available for comment.

Teammate Myles turner expressed support for the decision.”I think a father-son relationship is special,” Turner said. “I grew up in a house where my father was a big part of my life… So I’m glad that a father can see his son play.”
