Halsey Performs ‘Naive’ with The Kooks’ Luke Pritchard in London

Halsey brought The Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard on stage during her concert in London on Sunday, February 1, 2026, for a duet of “Naive.” The performance took place during Halsey’s ‘Back To Badlands’ anniversary tour, celebrating 10 years of her debut album, ‘Badlands’.

According to reports, Halsey was 26 songs into her 31-song setlist at Brixton Academy when she initially teased a cover of The Kooks’ “Seaside.” She then shared that The Kooks had previously supported her on her first tour, when she was 19 years old and had just turned 20 while on the road. She reportedly opened for the band before releasing her ‘Badlands’ album, performing only five songs and a cover of The Killers at each show.

Halsey then invited Luke Pritchard to join her on stage, and the pair performed “Naive.” During the performance, Halsey expressed her disbelief, exclaiming “Holy fucking shit” into the microphone. After the song, she asked the audience to show their appreciation for Pritchard’s surprise appearance, describing “Naive” as “One of the best fucking songs I’ve ever heard in my life.”

The collaboration marks a reunion over a decade after Halsey first toured with The Kooks in 2014. Pritchard reflected on the experience, stating via social media that he knew “from day one” that Halsey was destined for success. He also noted the continued familial connection between their crews and expressed admiration for Halsey’s unwavering energy despite facing significant challenges.

Halsey’s performance comes after overcoming health obstacles, including diagnoses of lupus and a rare T-Cell lymphoproliferative disorder in 2022, and a recent seizure in September 2024. During a show on the ‘Back To Badlands’ tour, Halsey responded to an audience member who told her to “shut up and play,” stating, “I almost fucking died to be on this stage.”

Halsey’s latest album, ‘The Great Impersonator,’ released in October 2024, received a five-star review from NME and was named one of the publication’s best albums of the year. The album is described as a reflection on life and death, chronic illness, and postpartum depression.

The ‘Back To Badlands’ tour is scheduled to conclude in Australia with shows in Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne on February 13, 17, and 19, respectively.

Meanwhile, The Kooks recently released a new version of their song “See Me Now,” recorded at their London O2 show last year. The band is also working with producer Tony Berg on a new album, described as a “psychedelic rock and roll record.”
