Hamann: Salah Could Join Bayern Munich
Salah’s Future Uncertain: Could Bayern Munich be an Option?
Liverpool legend Dietmar Hamann believes Mohamed Salah‘s future at Anfield remains uncertain, hinting at a potential move to Bayern Munich if contract negotiations stall.
Hamann, speaking to Genting Casino, expressed surprise that Liverpool haven’t yet engaged in talks with Salah regarding a new contract. While he believes a two-year extension is likely, Hamann acknowledges Salah’s desire for a longer commitment, potentially creating a sticking point.
“it’s strange that the club hasn’t spoken to him yet, but I believe they will offer him a new two-year deal,” Hamann saeid.”He will want a four-year contract, but things can change so quickly when you’re in your 30s.”
Hamann, who understands the complexities of contract negotiations from his own playing days, cautioned Liverpool against rushing into a long-term deal.
“Clubs have to be very careful in these situations,” he explained.”I have there’s no doubt whatsoever he can play at the highest level for another two years, but if he wants a longer contract, that could be a problem.”
Should Liverpool fail to meet Salah’s demands, Hamann believes Bayern Munich could emerge as a serious contender for the Egyptian star’s signature.”If Liverpool don’t offer him a contract, it wouldn’t surprise me if Salah ended up at Bayern Munich,” Hamann stated. “They currently have wingers who aren’t exactly setting the world on fire. It wouldn’t surprise me if they tried to sign him. They won’t be the only club interested, either. He wants to play at the highest level – and if that’s not at Liverpool, then it will be at another big club.”
