Hamas Releases Video of Hostage Liri Albag After 450 Days
Hostage liri Albag Appears in New hamas Propaganda Video, Pleads for Release
Nahal Oz, Israel – A new propaganda video released by Hamas on Saturday shows a sign of life from hostage liri Albag, a 19-year-old IDF observer kidnapped during the October 7th attacks. In the video, Albag, visibly distressed, pleads for her release and places the blame squarely on the Israeli goverment.
The video, part of Hamas’s ongoing psychological warfare campaign, features Albag stating she has been held captive in the Gaza Strip for 450 days. Tears streaming down her face, she describes the horrors of her captivity, living “in a place constantly under bombardment without a shelter.”
“I’m only 19 years old. I have my entire life in front of me, but now my entire life has been put on pause,” Albag says in the video. “We’re starting a really dark year here. The world is starting to forget about us. No one cares about us. We’re living in a nightmare.”

Albag directly addresses the Israeli government, asking, “If there was someone from your family here, would they still be here today?” She accuses the government and army of neglecting the hostages’ plight, emphasizing the urgency of thier situation.
“This is not normal, what you’re making us go through here,” she pleads. “Do you know what it’s like being in a place constantly under bombardment without a shelter? I just want people to remember me, remember my name. All of this is because of the government and the army.”
The Hostages Families Forum, representing the families of those taken captive, issued a statement requesting privacy for Albag’s family while acknowledging the video’s impact.
“The sign of life from Liri is harsh and undeniable proof of the urgency in bringing all the hostages home!” the Forum stated. “Sixteen days remain until the ultimatum set by President-elect Trump. We must not lose this historic window of prospect! It is time for our Prime Minister and other world leaders to take courageous action and bring Liri and all the hostages home.”
The Forum called on people worldwide to participate in rallies and vigils on Saturday evening in support of the hostages, emphasizing the need for immediate action.
A Daughter Held Hostage: A Conversation About Liri Albag
Olivia: Did you see that new video Hamas released? It’s heartbreaking.
Jake: Yeah, I did. It’s just awful to see Liri albag like that. can you believe she’s been held captive for over a year?
Olivia: I know, it’s just unimaginable. In the video, she looks so broken and desperate. It realy brought home the horrors of what they’re going thru.
Jacob: She specifically blamed the Israeli government for their situation, saying they’re neglecting the hostages. Do you think she meant that?
Olivia: It must be incredibly frustrating for them to feel forgotten. They’re living in constant fear and uncertainty. You can hear the desperation in her voice when she says, “Do you know what it’s like being in a place constantly under bombardment without a shelter?” It’s just unimaginable
Jake: It’s a tactic Hamas uses to try and pressure the government, right? This whole psychological warfare campaign?
Olivia: absolutely. They’re using these videos to create public pressure and potentially influence negotiations. It’s a very powerful tool, sadly. the Hostages Families Forum issued a statement too, calling this “harsh and undeniable proof” of the urgency to bring all the hostages home.
Jake: What can be done? It feels so hopeless.
Olivia:
The Forum is urging people to participate in rallies and vigils. They’re emphasizing the need for immediate action. It’s a race against time, especially with trump’s ultimatum looming
Jake: It’s tough to imagine what Liri and the other hostages are going through. This is a horrific situation.
Olivia: It truly is. All we can do is hope that the international community steps up and puts pressure on Hamas to release them. They deserve to be home.
