Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time world champion, didn’t mince words after the Spanish Grand Prix, labeling it his “worst race.” The Formula 1 driver struggled, ultimately finishing sixth.
Hamilton initially climbed to fourth place. However, Charles Leclerc, driving the other Ferrari, soon overtook him. Nico Hülkenberg in his Sauber also passed Hamilton late in the race.
The disappointing result leaves Hamilton sixth in the drivers’ standings,a meaningful 115 points behind leader Oscar Piastri. hamilton expressed his frustration after the race.
“That was the worst race I’ve experienced, balance wise,” Hamilton said. “[I had no rear grip] pretty much the whole race.”
When asked about any positives from the Barcelona race, Hamilton responded, “Zero.” He simply stated “Home” when questioned about his next move.

Hamilton’s move to Ferrari has not yet yielded the anticipated results. While Ferrari holds second place in the constructors’ championship, they have struggled to match McLaren’s performance. Hamilton, boasting 105 career race wins, is still seeking his first podium finish this season.
“Just not a great day,” Hamilton told Sky Sports. “Strategy was good. Team did a great job. Just that’s it.”
He added, “It was terrible. There’s no point explaining it… I just don’t know what to say.” hamilton expressed doubt that the team would find solutions.
