Original ‘Hamilton’ Cast Reunites at Tony Awards for Anniversary Performance
New York—The original cast of “Hamilton” delivered a show-stopping performance at the Tony Awards, marking the 10th anniversary of the groundbreaking musical. The reunion brought the audience to its feet at Radio City Music Hall.
Cynthia Erivo, tony winner and host, introduced the cast, acknowledging the musical’s profound impact. She noted that “Hamilton” changed Broadway and reshaped how Americans view their history. Erivo lauded the performance, dubbed “Hamilten,” as a masterclass in choreography and stage presence.
The medley featured Lin-Manuel miranda as Hamilton and Leslie Odom, Jr. as Aaron Burr, launching with “Non-Stop” before Miranda transitioned into “My Shot.” Phillipa Soo then appeared with “That Would Be Enough,” followed by Jasmine Cephas Jones and Renée Elise Goldsberry for a segment of “the Schuyler Sisters.” Daveed Diggs performed “Guns and Ships,” and jonathan Groff reprised his role as King George III.
