Cristina ⁢Negu, a four-time ⁢world’s best handball player and Romania’s finest,⁢ has announced her decision to retire from​ the sport at the end of the‌ current ⁢competitive season.

Negu’s dream ​of competing in the Olympics with the Romanian national team was shattered when the team failed to qualify for the pre-Olympic ‌tournament. This setback led to her decision ⁢to ⁣retire from the national team, and now she has announced her retirement from the sport.

Negu plans ​to organize a‌ caravan across the country until the end of ‍the season, ​allowing handball enthusiasts to see her play one ‌last time.

“I want to do‍ something​ special this season.⁤ Caravan. He will go ⁢with me everywhere in the cities of the⁤ country. We will have a special space where I will meet the fans after the games, if they want to see​ me ‌play for the last time in their‍ city, ⁣come ‌along, take pictures, get autographs! I have 25 years ⁤of career and 20 at the highest ‌level, I ⁤have ⁢experienced many wonderful moments.”
