Hannah Green secured her third JM Eagle LA Championship title in four years with a playoff victory at Wilshire Country Club on Sunday, April 20, 2026, reinforcing her status as one of the LPGA Tour’s most consistent performers in Southern California.

The Australian carded a final-round 68 to finish regulation play at 12-under-par 276, forcing a two-hole aggregate playoff against South Korea’s Ji-Yai Shin and compatriot Minjee Lee. After both competitors recorded pars on the first playoff hole, Green birdied the 18th to post a 3-under 35, while Shin and Lee each carded 37, giving Green the win by two strokes.

This victory marks Green’s third triumph at the LA Championship since 2022, having previously won in 2022 and 2024. She joins an elite group of players with multiple wins at the event, further cementing her reputation as a dominant force at Wilshire Country Club, where she has now posted four top-10 finishes in five appearances.

Green’s win comes amid a strong stretch of form, with three top-five finishes in her last five LPGA starts. Her consistency has lifted her to fourth in the Race to the CME Globe standings, positioning her favorably for qualification to the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship in November.

Reflecting on the win, Green said she remained composed despite not feeling at her best early in the final round. “I didn’t think I was in it coming down the stretch,” she said in her post-round interview. “But I kept hitting solid shots and trusted my process. That’s what you have to do when it gets tight.”

Ji-Yai Shin and Minjee Lee, who entered the final round tied for second, each shot 70 on Sunday to force the playoff. Shin, a rising star on the LPGA Tour, has now finished runner-up in two of her last three starts, while Lee, a two-time major champion, continues to search for her first win of the 2026 season.

The JM Eagle LA Championship, part of the LPGA Tour’s West Coast Swing, offers a $1 million purse, with the winner’s share of $150,000 pushing Green’s season earnings past the $800,000 mark. The event continues to serve as a key stop for players seeking momentum heading into the summer majors.

With the win, Green improves her career LPGA Tour victory total to eight. She remains exempt through the 2027 season and is widely regarded as one of the tour’s most reliable performers under pressure, particularly in playoff situations where she now holds a 3-1 record.
