NewJeans member Hanni recently took to social media to address a concerning incident involving overzealous fans at the 9th Asia Artist Awards (AAA 2024) in Bangkok.
On December 28th, Hanni posted a message on the group’s official account, assuring fans of her well-being while expressing her desire for safe and respectful interactions. “I’m okay now! I’m so sorry for making you worry! I love every possibility to meet our Bunnies… but let’s make sure we can talk without creating uncomfortable or perilous situations for each other. I hope no one feels rushed!” she wrote.
The incident occurred on December 27th as NewJeans returned to Korea following their appearance at AAA 2024. Footage circulated online showing fans breaking through security barriers, attempting to make physical contact with the group, and causing a commotion. Images of a visibly shaken Hanni being comforted by her fellow members sparked concern among fans.
Hanni further emphasized her feelings, stating, “I don’t want to feel uncomfortable around you guys.”
