[서울=뉴시스] Reporter Park Joo-yeon = Korea Investment Trust Management announced on the 30th that it will change the distribution payment base date of the ‘ACE US Dividend Dow Jones Index Fund (ETF)’ from the ‘last business day’ of each month to the ’15th’.

This change will be reflected in September, and the August distribution scheduled for the end of the month will be paid in combination with the September distribution. The September distribution payment reference date is the 13th of the following month, and the payment date is the 20th.

ACE US Dividend Dow Jones ETF was launched in October 2021. It tracks the same underlying index (Dow Jones US Dividend 100 Price return Index) as the so-called ‘Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF’, a representative US dividend growth ETF. It is characterized by selecting 100 companies among US listed stocks that have paid dividends for more than 10 years and have excellent fundamentals and investing in them in a market capitalization-weighted manner.

As of the 29th, this product recorded a net asset value of 399.3 billion won, and is on the verge of breaking the 400 billion won mark. Individual investors have net purchased 104.6 billion won this year, and have been buying for 17 consecutive days recently.

This product has the best return among the same type (same underlying index tracking foreign exchange exposure) ETFs launched domestically. It recorded 6.39% for 3 months, 9.64% for 6 months, 15.33% since the beginning of the year, 18.36% for 1 year, and 32.04% since listing.

Kim Seung-hyun, ETF consulting manager at Korea Investment Trust Management, explained, “In order to provide investors with a variety of choices in monthly dividend products, we changed the ACE US Dividend Dow Jones ETF dividend payment date to the 15th of every month.” He added, “If you invest in products that receive a mid-month distribution and products that receive a month-end distribution at the same time, you can receive dividends twice a month.”
