Detailed Incident Analysis: Super Charizzard & macanese Master
A significant incident involved Super Charizzard and Macanese Master. After the 300-meter mark, jockey Avdulla attempted to move Super charizzard to the outside to gain a clearer racing line. Simultaneously,Apprentice P. N. Wong, riding Macanese Master, began to give ground and shifted outwards. This maneuver forced Super Charizzard to be checked at the 250-meter mark,as it was squeezed for room between Sonic Boom and Macanese Master. The horse was then held up between the 250-meter and 100-meter marks, perhaps impacting its finishing position.
Stewards advised Apprentice Wong to exercise greater care in future races to avoid similar situations. This incident highlights the importance of maintaining a straight course and being aware of surrounding runners when yielding ground.
Veterinary Reports
Veterinary inspections conducted promptly following the race on Colonel, He Was Me, and the sampled horses, Ragnarr and Speedy Smartie, did not reveal any significant abnormalities. however, jockey Yeung noted that He Was Me failed to travel well during the race and may perform better at the Sha Tin racecourse.
Jockey Feedback
Jockey david Probert reported that Colonel was negatively affected by the pressure applied by Speedy Smartie and Macanese Master, preventing it from finishing strongly. Jockey Matthew L. Yeung expressed concern about he Was Me’s performance, suggesting a preference for the Sha Tin track.
