The winner of the event will take home $3.6 million and 700 FedExCup points. The competition takes place on a par-71 track designed by Pete Dye, which measures 7,243 yards according to the scorecard.
Field and Key Contenders
The field includes several of the circuit’s top players, including World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and the reigning champion, Justin Thomas. Thomas entered the event after winning the previous RBC Heritage by defeating Andrew Novak in a playoff with a birdie putt from just outside 20 feet.
Other notable competitors joining the field include Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Ludvig Aberg, Tommy Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Cameron Young. However, Rory McIlroy, the two-time Masters champion, is not in the field for this event.
