Harmony in Full Bloom: The Unforgettable Ginza Blossom Japan Translators Association Concert
Japan Association of Translators Concert: A Night to Remember
On September 16th, the Japan Association of Translators concert was held with great fanfare and ended wonderfully. Our guests, Yukawa Reiko, Watanabe Eri, Kumiko, and Takashio Tomoe, and the five directors and 13 members of the Association of Lyric Translators all sang their best songs.
We all sang “Yui Hitotabi no” for the finale, and this Japan Association of Lyric Translators concert was well received, with people saying that it revealed an incredibly interesting world. In fact, it is scheduled to be held again next year. If you would like to perform at next year’s concert, please become a member. We also welcome people who don’t sing or translate lyrics to join us as supporting members who will come and support us as audience members.

As the president of the Japan Association of Lyric Translators, I have seen my network expand greatly over the past three and a half years. However, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has raised the issue of borders when it comes to music, and we are constantly witnessing scenes where music is being damaged. I believe that even when nations are at war, people have the right not to hate each other. I would like to continue my passionate work, hoping for peace through the message of “overcoming language barriers.”
Although the hot days continue, autumn has already begun. The September 1st broadcast of the new BS Japanese Songs (rebroadcast on the 8th and 14th) also received a great response. Tickets for the Horoyoi Concert are now on sale. I’m excited for the upcoming events and hope to have a wonderful end of the year.
