Harry Brook Admits Teammates Were Present During nightclub Incident
England white-ball captain Harry Brook has admitted that other england players were with him when he was involved in an altercation with a bouncer in Wellington, New Zealand, on November 1, 2025. Brook initially stated he was alone at the time of the incident.
Brook released a statement on Friday, january 30, 2026, acknowledging he was not truthful about being alone to protect his teammates “from being drawn into a situation.” This admission followed a report by the Daily Telegraph that brook, along with teammates Jacob Bethell and Josh Tongue, may be subject to examination by the cricket regulator. “I accept responsibility for my actions in Wellington and acknowledge others were present that evening,” Brook said in his statement. He is currently in Sri Lanka preparing for the T20 World Cup, which begins in India on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Brook previously told media he was out on his own the evening before a one-day international.
