Norwich City secured the signature of defender Harry Darling, 25, after he turned down an offer from Championship rival Swansea City. Darling,whose career began at Cambridge United,agreed to a three-year contract at Carrow Road. The deal includes an option for an additional 12 months, further solidifying his long-term role with the Canaries.
Darling’s arrival marks the second signing under new head coach liam Manning, following the acquisition of goalkeeper Dan Grimshaw. During his three seasons with Swansea, Darling made 112 appearances and scored 12 goals.
Darling expressed his enthusiasm about joining Norwich.”I’m delighted. It’s been a long time coming after a lot of conversations. I’m happy to finaly get it sorted and I’m looking forward to getting started,” he said. He also noted his prior experience with Manning at MK Dons, saying it made the decision easier due to his familiarity with Manning’s style of play.
