A 24-Hour Windfall

The financial returns shattered Cave’s initial expectations. While she originally hoped to earn approximately 5,000 pounds (about 6,700 dollars) over several months, reports from Clarin indicate she earned 15,000 pounds (approximately 20,000 dollars) in just 24 hours. According to Infobae, this single-day windfall recovered the 15,000 dollars Cave had spent on accommodation during the previous year’s Edinburgh Fringe festival.

The 39-year-old actress joined the platform following a period of professional instability. She told Infobae she opened the account after reaching a “point of complete desperation” following a series of unsuccessful auditions.

Debt, Roofs, and Childcare

The motivations were practical. Speaking on her podcast, Before We Break Up Again, which she co-hosts with comedian Alfie Brown, Cave stated the income was necessary to pay off debts and fund home renovations, including repairing her roof and replacing wallpaper.

Conventional employment was not a viable option. Cave explained to Clarin that she could not take a job at a supermarket, such as Tesco, because she could not afford childcare for her four children. She also noted a desire to avoid fans shouting spells at her while working.

Cave’s strategy avoids adult entertainment.
