The latest reveals focus on bringing the beloved weasley family to life, specifically filling the roles of Ron Weasley’s siblings: Fred, George, Percy, and Ginny.
Tristan Harland will portray fred Weasley, with Gabriel Harland as his twin brother, George. Ruari Spooner is set to play the aspiring Percy Weasley, and Gracie Cochrane will embody the fiery Ginny Weasley. A recent Instagram post from HBO showcased the four new actors alongside Alastair Stout, who has been cast as Ron Weasley, in a casual selfie, giving fans a first glimpse of the on-screen family.

Production timeline and Creative Vision
The ambitious series, led by showrunner and writer Francesca Gardiner (“His Dark Materials,” “Killing Eve”) and director Mark Mylod (“Succession”), is planned as a seven-season adaptation, with each season dedicated to one of J.K. Rowling’s original novels. Filming for the first season is expected to continue until spring 2026, followed by the start of production for Season 2 shortly thereafter. The premiere is currently slated for 2027 on HBO and HBO Max.
J.K. Rowling, alongside Neil Blair and ruth Kenley-Letts of Brontë Film and TV, and david Heyman of Heyday Films, will serve as executive producers, ensuring a close connection to the source material while allowing for a fresh interpretation for a new generation.
