Harvest Heroes: Beijing’s Agricultural Machinery Springs into Action During the ‘Three Autumns’ Period
Beijing: Agricultural Machinery Arrives Safely in the Fields During the “Three Autumn” Period
The “three autumns” are the peak seasons for agricultural machinery operations, and are also the period when agricultural machinery accidents are prone to occur and occur frequently. To further strengthen agricultural machinery safety publicity and education and ensure the safe production of agricultural machinery during the “three autumns”, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently held the 2024 Beijing “Three Autumns” Agricultural Machinery Safety Publicity and Consultation Day in Miyun District.
The activity was themed ”Everyone talks about safety, everyone knows how to respond to emergencies”. The safety class set up on site included explanations of agricultural machinery safety operation procedures, agricultural machinery maintenance knowledge, agricultural machinery road traffic safety, fire safety, and emergency response content. Agricultural law enforcement personnel demonstrated the use of the “four-piece set” of agricultural machinery operation safety on site based on accident cases, and introduced measures to prevent unauthorized personnel from entering the operation site.
A publicity and consultation desk was set up on site to distribute information and provide face-to-face consultation services. Over 40 people, including heads of agricultural machinery cooperatives, agricultural machinery drivers, and growers, attended the on-site event.
This event had distinctive features: precise timing, targeting the mechanized production characteristics of the “Three Autumn Periods”, closely integrating with the actual agricultural production, and preventing accidents from the source. The content coverage was wide, covering aspects such as road traffic safety, emergency accident handling, field fire prevention, and safe operation at the work site, to improve the safety production level of agricultural machinery in an all-round and multi-angle way.
The format was flexible and diverse. Through on-site explanations, demonstrations, and consultations, the interactivity of the event was improved, allowing participants to intuitively learn the key points of safe operation of agricultural machinery and emergency response methods. The publicity effect was remarkable, allowing on-site personnel to have a deeper understanding of safety regulations and operating procedures, enhancing safety awareness and improving emergency response capabilities.
Beijing has continuously improved the level of agricultural machinery safety production and ensured the continued stability of agricultural machinery safety production by carrying out a series of related “Safety Day” activities, combining “Village Posting”, “Village Broadcasting”, “Village Delivery” and other forms of activities, distributing cartoon theme posters and negative lists.
