Harvesting Innovation: Jianshui County Revolutionizes Agricultural Training with Virtual Reality
Jianshui County Employs Virtual Reality for Agricultural Technology Training
A recent virtual reality (VR) training class was held at the Digital Youth Entrepreneurship Park in Jianshui County, where trainees utilized VR glasses and joysticks to learn the operational procedures of grape thinning. This immersive virtual space allowed them to enhance their mastery of grape thinning skills.
The VR training system provides a comprehensive guide to the four stages of grape young fruit, flower and fruit, fruit thinning, and fruit clusters. It includes two types of fruit clusters (cylindrical and conical), five different types of flower and fruit models, and 15 different types of typical grape cluster models. The system also covers complex fruit thinning techniques, such as cracked fruit and small fruit, allowing trainees to practice repeatedly. Through multiple senses (vision, hearing, and touch), trainees can experience the realism of grape fruit thinning and practice techniques for different fruit cluster types and growth stages.
After the training, coaches and trainers provide on-site corrections and one-on-one comments based on VR system data analysis. They develop a customized training plan to improve the quality and effectiveness of skill training. Since the beginning of this year, Jianshui County has applied VR technology to grape thinning teaching, building a digital training base that can accommodate 260 people. This innovative approach has broken the time and space limitations of traditional skill training, enriching the teaching content and form.
Over 410 trainees in Jianshui County have participated in the VR skill training, with all trainees obtaining professional qualification certificates after being assessed by a third-party appraisal agency. The training assessment compliance rate has reached 100%.
