Saudi Clubs Vie for Hawsawi’s Signature
Several prominent Saudi Arabian football clubs – including Al-Nasr, Al-Hilal, and Al-Ittihad – are actively pursuing Al-Khaleej midfielder Murad Hawsawi, initiating discussions with Uhud, Hawsawi’s former club, to potentially negotiate a reduction in their share of any transfer fee. The aim is to streamline the deal during the current winter transfer window.
Financial Offers and stakeholder Negotiations
Al-Khaleej is currently evaluating official financial offers from both Al-Nasr and Al-Ittihad regarding hawsawi’s contract. Both clubs have formally inquired about the total cost required to secure the player.Al-Hilal previously submitted a bid, but it was deemed insufficient by Al-Khaleej’s management.
A meaningful obstacle to finalizing the transfer is a pre-existing agreement stipulating that one party is entitled to 40% of the eventual sale value. This clause complicates negotiations and substantially increases the financial demands to complete the transaction.
Hawsawi’s Career Trajectory
Murad Hawsawi initially joined Al-Khaleej from Uhud in 2024. He subsequently signed a contract extension with Al-Khaleej, committing to the club until 2029.
