Hayley Williams Announces Deluxe edition of “ego Death at a Bachelorette Party” with New Track “Parachute”
Hayley williams is expanding her recently released album, “Ego Death at a bachelorette Party,” with an 18th track, “parachute.” She premiered the song this evening on BBC Radio 1.
The song begins as a delicate, piano-based piece before evolving into a powerful rock anthem. The lyrics include the poignant lines: “I thought you were gonna catch me/I never stopped falling for you/Now I know better, never let me/Leave home without a parachute.” you can listen to the album, including “Parachute,” on Spotify here.
The physical album will be available on November 7th and is currently available for pre-order here. It will be released on black and “Zissou Clear-Wave” vinyl, alongside six limited edition colours: Highlighter yellow, Marble Yellow, Orange Juice Splash, Crystal Clear, Grayscale Metallic Silver, and Poolwater Wave.
This release marks Williams’ first independent musical project as ending her record deal with Warner/Atlantic. Notably, the final tracklist was influenced by fan-created versions shared online after the initial proclamation.
