New ‌data​ reveals that⁤ graduates in health-related fields consistently achieve higher average grades than students in other disciplines, but education majors still hold the top spot.

The latest report from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, which‌ analyzes university ‍performance indicators, shows that degrees ​in healthcare, including Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Physiotherapy, boast an average grade exceeding 7.40, surpassing ​the national average ⁤for all university degrees.

While health science graduates shine,the report highlights⁣ that Education majors achieve the highest average grades. The third quartile, representing the⁢ top 25% of ⁢students, sits at⁤ an impressive 8.3,wiht an overall average of 7.89. ⁣

Arts and Humanities follow closely behind, with an average third quartile grade of 8.18 and an overall average of 7.59. Health and Social⁢ Services land in third place, with a third ‍quartile average of 8.17 and an overall average of 7.73.

Despite these impressive scores, health science graduates still trail behind Education majors in terms of the highest average grades.

the national average grade for all graduating students across ⁤all disciplines sits at 7.43, ranging from a high of 8 to a low of 6.85. Engineering, Industry, and Construction, along with Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry, Fishing, and Veterinary Science, show ⁢the lowest third quartile averages, at 7.3 and 7.42 respectively.

The report also delves into graduation and dropout rates‌ across various university programs, providing further insight⁣ into student ⁢performance and success within different fields of study.

The graduation rate for four-year health science degrees, including nursing, pharmacy, and physical therapy, is among the highest, surpassed only by education. ⁤ the graduation rate for first-time students entering‍ four-year programs in 2018-2019 reached 54.8%, a ⁣significant increase from 48.8%‍ in 2013-2014.

This success is especially evident in the “Health and Social Services” field, boasting a graduation‍ rate of 75.5%.
