SHYMKENT, Kazakhstan – Police in Shymkent are investigating allegations of group rape and blackmail involving a 22-year-old woman, according to local reports. The case, brought to public attention by the #Nemolchikz fund, involves multiple alleged incidents dating back to August of last year.
Details of the Alleged Assaults
The #Nemolchikz fund, a social activism group, stated that the victim reported the initial incident occurred after she sought a taxi. A vehicle approached, and she accepted a ride from the occupants.
“The girl is in serious condition… She is from a simple large family. To get home from work, I caught a taxi… In the evening…one came and said: ‘I liked you, come out, let’s talk.’ That evening, he raped her… and the second shot it on the video. Thus began the first stage of blackmail,”

The fund further alleges that the blackmail escalated in March when one of the suspects threatened to burn down her house with her family inside. Fearing for her safety, the victim left her home.
She was then allegedly taken to a secluded location where two men assaulted her.
“The circle of rapists – three men over 30 years old, thier identities are established…And they remained free! No thing, no examination, no article. No sanctions for arrest,”
