Meals from the Heartland will hold its​ annual⁢ hunger Fight from October ‌7-11 at its West Des Moines packaging center. The event ‍brings together volunteers to package meals for children and families facing food‍ insecurity in‌ Iowa and​ internationally.

Volunteer Opportunities & ⁣Goals

Organizers aim to recruit 4,000 volunteers to package 2 million meals during the five-day event. These meals will provide nourishment for 7,700 children for an entire ‍year,according to Meals from ​the Heartland’s ⁤event page.
