ann Budge plans to relinquish her role at Heart of Midlothian later this year. The proclamation comes on the heels of a nearly £10 million investment from Brighton & Hove Albion owner Tony Bloom. Budge stated she believes she has achieved her goals for the club.
In a statement, Budge said she had considered this decision carefully. After discussions with the board,she felt the timing was right. She initially joined the Foundation of Hearts in 2013. Her initial aim was to stabilize the club before focusing on growth. Now, 12 years later, she expresses pride in the club’s current position.
