Le Creusot Mourns the Loss of Maria Helena MOUTA

The town of Le Creusot, in France’s Saône-et-Loire department, is in mourning following the death of Maria Helena MOUTA, née FERREIRA VALENTE, who passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the age of 76.

According to an official announcement, Madame MOUTA is survived by her husband, José MOUTA; her children, José MOUTA and Marie-Elisabeth DE OLVIERA, Dominique and Anne-Marie MOUTA, and Sandrine MOUTA and Fabrice NICOLARDOT, along with their respective spouses.

She is also remembered by her cherished grandchildren, Thomas and Mariana, Allan, Valentin, Margot and Farouk, Hugo, and Lisa, as well as her great-grandson, Soulaymane. The family also includes her brothers and sisters, their spouses, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends, and family.

A viewing will be held at the Complexe Funéraire, located at 10 rue Pologne, 71200 Le Creusot, beginning on Monday, February 9th. Religious services will be held at the Saint-Henri church on Thursday, February 12th, at 2:30 PM.

The family has requested that attendees express their condolences through a registry and has specifically asked for natural flowers only, discouraging the use of wreaths or plaques.

In a gesture of gratitude, the family has expressed their sincere thanks to the entire staff of the Ehpad Saint-Henri for their kindness and dedication in caring for Madame MOUTA.

The announcement serves as both a notice of passing and a thank you to those who offered support.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Pompes Funèbres VIOLLON, located at 8 rue de Pologne, 71200 Le Creusot. They can be reached at 03 85 55 36 56.

News of Madame MOUTA’s passing comes amidst a broader listing of recent deaths in Le Creusot, as reported by several online memorial sites. Linternaute.com, for example, lists numerous individuals who passed away in the town in late December 2025 and early 2026, though details beyond names and dates are limited.

Simplifia, a company that compiles death notices from across France, offers condolences and the option to send flowers to the family through a local florist. They also partner with a tree-planting organization, allowing individuals to plant a tree in memory of Madame MOUTA as part of reforestation projects.

France-Obseques.fr also published an announcement of Madame MOUTA’s death on February 7, 2026, in Le Creusot, but provided no further details regarding the ceremony.
