Urand Claims European Para-Triathlon Title
Henry Urand,the British para-triathlete,secured the European title in Besancon,France,adding to his world crown. his performance underscored his role as a leading athlete in the sport.
Urand, 22, who finished fourth at the Paris Paralympics in the PTS3 division, completed the race in 1 hour, 11 minutes, and 41 seconds. He outpaced his nearest competitor,Germany’s Max Gelhaar,a Paralympic silver medalist,by nearly a minute and a half.
despite a slow start in the swim, Urand steadily gained ground during the bike leg, positioning himself to contend for the lead. He then surged ahead during the run,securing the gold medal.
